A Woodland Fairy Tale...

As wedding photographers, our standard 'work' day is full of emotion - all the emotions! A little bit of nervous, excited, scared, stressed - but most of all - love. Whether it be loved, or loving, or in love, this is the emotion that drives us to do what we do. We get caught up in the emotions of the day and feel them with you as we navigate the day together. This was definitely the case for Sarah and John's wedding. We met Sarah way back at the beginning of our photographic journey. As new students on our first day of photography school, we were excited for our new beginning and eager to learn all we could about photography. As Jerry and I sat next to each other and scanned the room, we saw people who looked so friendly. People that we couldn't wait to build connections with. Sarah was one of those people. Over the next several months, we spent lots of time hanging out photographing each other in the studio, processing film and prints in the lab together, and even hanging out after school! I will forever be grateful for the time we spent getting to know each other and growing on our paths together. SO many laughs and hugs were shared! Fast forward to last year. Learning of Sarah's engagement to John made us so happy! Of course we were hoping to receive an invitation of any kind, but being asked to photograph it was the ultimate gift! Of all the people she could have chosen, she chose us....an honor we took seriously! Wedding day arrived, and I don't think we could have asked for a prettier day. We met both bride and groom in their awesome suites at The Stone Mill 1792 and after introductions and reunions, we got right to work! It was so much fun hanging out with everyone and photographing them as they got ready. John and his crew soaked up the sun on the front porch as they enjoyed cigars and cracked jokes. The ladies chatted and reminisced as they had hair and makeup done by their amazing friend and V.I.P. Autumn! How she found time to do everyone's hair and makeup as well as her own is a testament to how awesome she is!
