A long time ago, a mentor giving a workshop I attended spoke about the importance of bridal shows for growing your business, and I couldn't have agreed more. I still feel the same way. I always knew that when I was finished moving all over the place and crossing state lines, I would love to join a wedding group where I could be given the opportunity to really connect with my community and the couples that would entrust me with their wedding day. I was given that opportunity not too long ago, and I joined the Magnolia Wedding Collective. Since joining, I have had the opportinuty to connect with and meet so many amazing people. Lots of new brides and grooms found their way to me thanks to joining this group, and I will forever be grateful.
One opportunity I was given was in the form of a well thought out and put together styled shoot. Some creatives in the group put their heads together and dreamed up a gorgeous display that burst with color and literally warmed me. I was blown away as I visited each little set before we began our photo session. The massive talent of each of these planners, designers, florists and bakers left me totally awestruck. I felt super lucky to be among the photographers that got to capture all of the beauty. I loved every single second of looking through my viewfinder and composing my images. The models were not only picture perfect, they were the sweetest humans to work with. Every moment with them was an absolute treat, so much fun, and full of those good belly laughs. The cozy fall air that surrounded us on Barb Farm that evening was a perfect gift from mother nature as we did our work! Along with the cozy and lovely fall weathr, we enjoyed the most fluffy clouds at the end of the night in a cotton candy pink sky as the sun set for the day. Going home, I could've pinched myself.
