Where their love story began...
It's rare to come across a story as beautiful as Stephanie and Dave's, but here we are! Meeting by chance and sharing a passion for nature and hiking, this striking couple has leaned into their love of all things outdoors and it's easy to see the joy it has brought them. We first met this precious couple when we were photographing the wedding of a friend of theirs -- another hiking enthusiast! We had such a great time together that thankfully, Stephanie asked us to photograph her and Dave for their small and intimate wedding.
What we have learned about weddings during Covid, is that the wedding date could become sort of an elusive moving target. This is exactly what happened to our sweet couple as thing after thing got in the way and their date had to change. Eventually, they sealed their love and made it official in a private ceremony, and we LOVE that for them! When it came time to commemorate with photos, we were planning our day out at their favorite location...the place where they met, have spent so much time together, and got married.
The Jim and Molly Denton Shelter has such a huge piece of their hearts in the form of memories and experiences, so it was a beautiful thing to capture these images here. We were gifted a really beautiful day, and we enjoyed every second of the sunshine. Spending such a gorgeous day with a couple whose energy matched the warmth of the sun was a moment we will always, always treasure! We are so grateful for our chance to spend such a sweet day with them, capturing so many different spots, moments and poses with them as we laughed the day away.
